Sunday Mornings

Sunday Service

The Sunday morning service starts at 10 am.

The services are relaxed, friendly and the worship includes hymns and songs sung by the congregation, prayers, sermon and/or ‘All Age’ talk.

We project the song words and bible passages onto a screen and there is a sound amplification system. If you use a hearing aid there is an induction loop; switch your hearing aid to the 'T' position to use this.

On the 2nd and 4th Sunday of every month the service also includes communion. We use individual cups and the bread and wine (we use grape juice) are brought to you in your seats. If you do not wish to receive communion just let the bread and wine pass by.

On the 1st Sunday of every month the service is "All Age". This means that the content is aimed at the whole Church family and the children and young people do not have special groups.

On other Sundays everyone meets together for the first 25 minutes or so of the service then the children go to smaller groups.

Childreens area At the rear of the Church there is a special area for children who are too young for "Splash".

For children in school years 1 - 6.

After the morning service we always make time for a cup of coffee (or tea) and a chat. We usually have biscuits; and sometimes cake!

Church Members Meetings

Church Members meetings are held bi-monthly (and sometimes more often) immediatly (11.30ish) after refreshments on a Sunday morning.

Within the Baptist tradition each Church is regarded as a separate body and decisions are made by the membership thinking, praying and sharing together. Membership at Highams Park Baptist Church is open to anyone who believes and trusts in Jesus as Saviour and Lord, and who is ready to commit themselves to belonging to the Church in this definite way. Speak to Rosemary if you would like to talk about becoming a Church member
